Galerie Allen Opens in Paris with Performance-Focused Second Show

exhibition · 2026-04-24

Galerie Allen, a newly established gallery in Paris created by Australian artist Mel O'Callaghan and curator Joseph Allen Shea, has opened its doors in a former print shop located near Gare du Nord. The gallery's first exhibition highlighted the seldom-seen works of Maurice Blaussyld, whose art was last displayed in Paris ten years ago. Representing five artists, the gallery includes O'Callaghan, Hany Armanious (2011 Venice Biennale), Corita Kent (1918-1986), Laëtitia Badaut-Haussmann (Salon de Montrouge 2010), and Angelica Meisiti. The upcoming exhibition, "Turns, The Possibilities of Performance," will feature Badaut-Haussmann's "Underway 2," alongside works by Laurent Montaron, Marc Hundley, Meisiti, and a soundtrack by Parfums pourpres du soleil des pôles. Badaut-Haussmann is also scheduled for a solo exhibition next spring.
