Galeria Vera Cortês Opens First Exhibition of Ana Vieira Estate

Galeria Vera Cortês in Lisbon presents the first exhibition of the Estate of Ana Vieira, opening May 26 and running through September 5. This follows the gallery's announcement last November that it would represent the estate. Ana Vieira (1940-2016) began exhibiting regularly in the late 1960s and became a key figure in Portuguese contemporary art. Her practice, aligned with conceptual art, explores the limits of traditional supports like painting and sculpture, influenced by everyday objects, spaces, and situations. The exhibition features scenic installations that challenge artistic boundaries.
