Gaia Invernizzi's Fluvoxamina on Artribune Magazine Cover

The new cover of Artribune Magazine features Fluvoxamina, a thesis project by Gaia Invernizzi, a Fashion Design student at IED Milan. The project explores the relationship between individuals and clothing through performance and photography, focusing on fabric manipulation and the concept of transition between real and perceived self. Invernizzi's work was selected from the Transitions exhibition at Pitti Uomo in Florence, where eight IED students showcased their designs under the mentorship of British visual artist Lucy Orta. The exhibition, held at the Istituto degli Innocenti, included garments designed with generative AI, fabrics that reproduce songs or grow naturally, and performances. Invernizzi's collection uses techniques like needle felting and fabric boiling to create sculptural, amorphous forms. She is currently an intern at Prada and will present her full collection at the Mittelmoda competition. The cover is part of the Fragile Surface collaboration between IED and Artribune, which links to themes from documenta 15 curated by ruangrupa.
