Gaia Cambiaggi's 'Invernaderos' Opens in Palermo

Gaia Cambiaggi's photographic exhibition 'Invernaderos' opens in Palermo on June 16, 2018, at Studio Gibel. Curated by Emilia Giorgi, the show explores global agro-industrial transformations, focusing on greenhouse agriculture. The project, initiated in 2013, examines geopolitical issues related to territory, community economy, and labor flows. It traces greenhouse landscapes from Cambiaggi's native Liguria to the Netherlands, which has the world's highest concentration of greenhouses, then to Almería, Spain, and back to Calabria, Italy. The exhibition runs until September 14, 2018, and is conceptually linked to themes of Manifesta 12 Palermo.
