Gagosian Closes Basel and London Burlington Arcade Spaces
Gagosian is set to depart from its venues in Basel and London's Burlington Arcade, marking a trend of real estate changes among prominent galleries this summer. The gallery has already vacated 28–29 Burlington Arcade, which it had occupied since October 2023. Plans are in place for Gagosian to exit its Basel site at Rheinsprung 1 in the near future. During its time at Burlington Arcade, the gallery hosted 16 exhibitions, with the last one closing on 18 July, featuring works by Christo and Jeanne-Claude. In winter 2026, Fabergé will take over the space. Gagosian will maintain its two main London locations at 20 Grosvenor Hill and 17-19 Davies Street, with a René Magritte exhibition scheduled for September.
