Gaggenau Opens Milan Hub and Art Gallery

architecture-design · 2026-05-04

Gaggenau, the luxury kitchen appliance brand, will open Gaggenau DesignElementi HUB on April 17, 2018, in Milan. The 300-square-meter space in Corso Magenta, designed by Alessandro Dal Montedello of Studio Loop Design, will serve as a showroom and host design, art, culture, and innovation events. The hub results from a collaboration with partner DesignElementi. Giorgio Marazzi, CEO of BSH Elettrodomestici (which manages Bosch), stated that 2018 plans include contemporary art exhibitions, photography, music, and events with partners. Sabino Maria Frassà, co-founder of the nonprofit Cramum and its prize, has been appointed artistic director. He conceived a series of four solo exhibitions titled "On Reflection," exploring the theme of reflection and matter. The series begins May 9 with Francesca Piovesan's "In-visible" on self-acceptance, followed by Franco Mazzucchelli's "Bi-Face" on June 20 featuring double-sided works from his BD series, Ivan Barlafante's "Wood & Rock" with larch and steel sculptures, and Maria Wasilewska's "My Reflection" in December on perception and optical illusions. Most works are new or site-specific. Piovesan's gold mirrors were recently selected for the BIAS Biennale in Palermo.
