Gabriele Silli's Material Alchemy at Rome's Pigneto Space

Gabriele Silli's solo exhibition in Rome's Pigneto district transforms a disused space into a dual-environment showcase of material experimentation. The show, curated by Giuliana Benassi and promoted by Pietroarco Franchetti, features works from recent years exploring paper, resins, debris, found objects, and organic and artificial materials. Sculptural compositions emerge from walls as crystallized growths, playing on material ambiguity in consistency, weight, and scale. The exhibition unfolds across two distinct areas: a luminous ground floor and a cavernous subterranean exploration space. At the opening, a performance titled 'Martello-fiore 2018 o della potenza' featured strongman Emanuele Greco in a destructive-propitiatory action. The exhibition runs until January 5, 2019, by appointment.
