In Los Angeles, Gabriela Hearst and Sir Paul Smith marked their unexpected limited-edition collaboration with a dinner at the Chateau Marmont penthouse. This 14-piece collection for both men and women showcases vintage photographs taken by Smith's father, an amateur photographer, featuring the Welsh mountains in a dreamy, faded style. These images adorn items such as silk trench coats, bias-cut slip dresses, intarsia cashmere sweaters, virgin wool barré suiting, and nappa leather Nina and Demi bags. Hand-knit cashmere sweaters are crafted by Manos del Uruguay, a nonprofit that promotes women's economic independence. Notable guests included Jessica Alba, John Boyega, Edward Norton, and others. The concept was sparked through texts exchanged with Wesley Schultz of The Lumineers, and several pieces quickly sold out at boutiques on the event day. Hearst referred to Smith as "one of the original punks."
