Gabonsa Pavilion: Student-Designed Hybrid Structure at Innsbruck Festival

A temporary pavilion designed by students from Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences was built for the Gabonsa Music Festival in Innsbruck. The 16 m² structure, located at the Rossau Recreation Center (a former municipal landfill), functions as seating, a landmark, and a social meeting point. The project was a collaboration between the university, the collectives Gans Anders and Bonanza, and the festival. The design team included Prof. Fabian Wagner, Louise Daussy, Antonio Winter-Schlaf, and Nils Fischer, with structural engineering by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Larissa Krieger. The pavilion embodies the experimental spirit of the festival and aims to reactivate the public space through cultural events.
