G7 Summit Inspires Art Exhibition in Puglia's Mesagne Castle
Starting June 13, 2024, the Norman-Swabian Castle in Mesagne, Puglia, will host the 'G7 – Sette secoli di arte italiana' exhibition, running until December 8. This event aligns with the G7 summit happening at Borgo Egnazia from June 13 to 15. Visitors can explore seven centuries of Italian art, showcasing works from the 14th to 20th centuries by iconic artists like Giotto, Donatello, and Leonardo da Vinci. Pierangelo Argentieri leads the organization through the Rete di Imprese Micexperience Puglia, with Pierluigi Carofano overseeing the scientific aspects. The exhibition is divided into six themed sections. The castle, established in the 11th century and revamped in the mid-15th century, previously featured a Caravaggio exhibit in summer 2023.
