Fundación Juana de Vega opens 2026 Landscape Intervention Prize for built heritage recovery
The XXII Premio Juana de Vega de Intervenciones en el Paisaje has been initiated by the Fundación Juana de Vega, emphasizing "Patrimonio construido y su entorno" (Built Heritage and Its Surroundings). Projects from Galicia are eligible if they are finalized between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2025, with a deadline for submissions set for July 3, 2026. The evaluation committee will consider factors such as the quality of interventions, landscape enhancement, sustainability, material usage, strategies for proximity, circular economy, appropriateness, and social impact. The award comprises €6,000 and potentially two €1,500 accésits. Since its inception in 2004, the award has changed categories every three years, with past recipients like Acouga Hotel Boutique (2023) and A Míllara recovery (2020).
