Fundación Ibercaja Young Painting Prize 2026 Opens for Submissions
The 12th edition of the Premio Fundación Ibercaja de Pintura Joven is now accepting entries. Open to Spanish-born or resident artists aged 18-35, each may submit one original painting created after 2021, with manual intervention predominant. Digital art and AI-generated works are banned; AI may only be used as prior conceptual support. Works must measure between 1 and 2 meters per side, unframed. Submissions via online form by September 10, 2026. A jury will select 60 works for a physical delivery in October-November 2026. Prizes: first prize €10,000, second €6,000 (acquisition awards), plus five €1,000 accésits. Winning works join the Fundación Ibercaja Art Collection. The exhibition opens February 2027 at Casa de Vacas in Madrid, then travels to Zaragoza, Logroño, Guadalajara, Huesca, and Teruel.
