Fundació Miró Mallorca Opens Three Exhibitions by Torres, Servera, and Casas on September 18

On September 18, the Fundació Miró Mallorca will unveil three exhibitions featuring the works of Pedro Torres, Isabel Servera, and Carlos Casas. Torres's installation, titled 'Jora', showcases Rafael Moneo's alabaster architecture, employing a rotating sheet and red light to represent the concepts of time and sedimentation. Servera's piece, 'Alenades', reinterprets the traditional palm weaving techniques from her grandmother's workshop into a sculptural form, complemented by sound contributions from Joana Gomila. Casas will display two immersive films, 'Bestiari' and 'Cementery', under the title 'Bestiaris'. 'Bestiari' draws inspiration from Anselm Turmeda's medieval writings, exploring themes of human dominance through natural sounds from Catalonia, while 'Cementery' tells the story of an elephant and its caretaker, reflecting on death and memory. Together, these exhibitions reshape how viewers engage with their environment.
