Fundació Mies van der Rohe launches call for archival material for documentary

cultural-heritage · 2026-05-05

The Fundació Mies van der Rohe is inviting the public to submit photos, videos, advertisements, and other materials related to the Barcelona Pavilion, aiming to enrich their archive for a forthcoming documentary titled "The Lives of the Pavilion." Initially created by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the 1929 International Exposition, the pavilion was taken down in 1930 and later rebuilt in 1986, led by Oriol Bohigas. This project celebrates contributions like the recent European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture awarded to the DeFlat Kleiburg in Amsterdam. Interested participants can send their materials via email to the foundation.
