Fundació Joan Miró Launches International Search for New Director with €115,000 Annual Salary

The Joan Miró Foundation's Board of Trustees has initiated an international public competition to select its next director. Required qualifications include a university degree, at least three years of senior experience, and programming skills aligned with the Foundation's mission. Knowledge of one official language of Catalonia is required, with a commitment to master the other within a year; English proficiency is mandatory, while French is valued. Candidates must submit a CV, motivation letter, and a 15-page project outlining their vision for the Foundation as a center for avant-garde art, collection management, exhibition programming, public engagement, and institutional positioning in Barcelona. The director will be responsible for institutional leadership, artistic direction, research programs, public relations, and ensuring the Foundation's economic sustainability in coordination with management.
