Fund a New Future: Hot air balloon festival lands in Milan during miart week

During Milan's art week and the Salone del Risparmio, a new cultural festival called Fund a New Future has launched at Milano Congressi, running until April 4. Curated by Faust, the hybrid bookstore and intellectual hangout founded by writer and former Domus Academy creative director Gianluigi Ricuperati, the event features a hot air balloon offering aerial views of Milan, a geodesic dome for talks, and an inflatable installation titled Cone Garden inspired by Thomas Bernhard's novel Correction. The festival addresses sustainability from non-financial angles. Participants include architect Italo Rota, Studio Urquiola, illustrator Emiliano Ponzi, researcher Filippo Lezoli, and Emanuele Saffirio. Partners include Salone del Risparmio, Eurizon, Invesco, Fly-In, Parco Delle Alpi Marittime, and FAI. Key supporters are Assogestioni director general Fabio Galli and communications head Jean-Luc Gatti, with balloon pilot Enzo Cisaro of Aeronord. Ricuperati describes the project as a 'creature of the border' launched during miart and the Salone del Risparmio.
