Fulvio Salvadori, artist, philosopher, and writer, dies at 75

Italian artist, philosopher, and writer Fulvio Salvadori has passed away. His friend Marco Bagnoli confirmed that he died peacefully in his sleep on September 11, 2021. Salvadori was instrumental in the art/tapes/22 collective and the ART for The World foundation, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. He worked alongside notable artists including Giuseppe Chiari, Marina Abramović, and Michelangelo Pistoletto. His essay "Mediterraneo" was featured at the 1993 Venice Biennale and later translated into Greek for an exhibition at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens. In 2005, his anthology "Le Visioni del femminile nella Storia dell'Arte" was released for the "Donna Donne" exhibition in Florence. His most recent publication, "Scritti sospesi," was issued by Lindau. Salvadori resided in Empoli, Tuscany, and collaborated with Maria Gloria Bicocchi on art/tapes/22 and the ASAC Historical Archive of the Venice Biennale. He also organized the "Creazione e Creatività" conference at the University of Geneva and taught at the École du Magasin-CNAC in Grenoble.
