Fulvio Lucisano, influential Italian film producer, dies
Fulvio Lucisano, founder of Italian International Film (1958) and Anica president (1998–2001), has died. Over a seventy-year career, he produced popular and art-house cinema, working with directors Mario Bava, Marco Ferreri, Lina Wertmüller, and actors Alberto Sordi and Massimo Troisi. In 2005, Biennale Cinema dedicated a tribute to him, screening restored versions of four cult films he produced: Bava's Terrore nello spazio and Le spie vengono dal semifreddo, and Dallamano's Cosa avete fatto a Solange? and Il medaglione insanguinato. Terrore nello spazio also appeared in the 2004 retrospective L'industria dei prototipi. The Biennale di Venezia mourned his loss.
