Frutta Gallery in Rome Transforms into Ortica, a Hybrid Temporary Shop, Bar, and Exhibition Space

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Frutta Gallery in Rome will debut Ortica on March 17, 2018, at Via dei Salumi 53 in the Trastevere district. This innovative venue will feature a pop-up store, a bar, and an exhibition space for artists. Building on a previous holiday initiative, Ortica connects commerce with art, showcasing works by notable artists including Jacopo Miliani and Ditte Gantriis. Attendees can enjoy unique northern European flora while sipping artisan coffee and pastries. Additionally, the venue will offer workshops focused on botany and coffee, along with a special live drawing and tarot session led by Miliani in May. Clelia Cilantonio highlights the exploration of transient art in a retail context.
