Frost Science Launches Interactive Planetarium Show 'How to Survive in Space'

exhibition · 2026-04-28

From May 1 to May 4, 2025, the Frost Planetarium in Miami will launch 'How to Survive in Space: An Interactive Adventure Through the Cosmos' in celebration of National Space Day and May the Fourth. Drawing inspiration from Dr. Paul M. Sutter's book, this interactive experience allows participants to make decisions that influence their mission while navigating cosmic challenges with a blend of humor and science. Dr. Analisa Duran emphasized its role in making science engaging and accessible. This marks the inaugural release from Frost Science Studios, featuring audio contributions from the Frost School of Music and visuals from the Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing. A Space Passport program with interactive activities will be offered, alongside a members-only screening on May 3 and a showing of 'Wildest Weather in the Solar System' on May 2. The show will be presented three times daily during the opening weekend and once daily thereafter, included with admission.
