Frost Science Launches Interactive Planetarium Show 'How to Die in Space'
Frost Science in Miami debuts 'How to Die in Space: An Interactive Adventure Through the Cosmos', a live, interactive planetarium show opening May 1–4, 2026. Inspired by astrophysicist Dr. Paul M. Sutter's book, the show lets audiences control a space mission, making real-time decisions that lead to humorous or deadly outcomes while learning about black holes, supernovas, and rogue planets. It is the first release from Frost Science Studios, the museum's new in-house content initiative. The production features an original score by University of Miami Frost School of Music student Jacey Schell and visuals enhanced by the Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing. Opening weekend includes a Space Passport program with hands-on activities and a members-only show on May 3. The show will run three times daily during opening weekend and once daily thereafter, included with museum admission.
