Frieze New York 2020 announces 200 galleries and thematic sections

Frieze New York is set to take place on Randall's Island from May 6 to 10, 2020, featuring 200 galleries. A special tribute section, curated by Julie Rodrigues Widholm from the DePaul Art Museum, will celebrate groundbreaking female artists from Chicago in honor of the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage. Artists highlighted include Gladys Nilsson (Garth Greenan), Suellen Rocca (Matthew Marks Gallery), and others. The Diálogos section, curated by Patrick Charpenel, Rodrigo Moura, and Susanna V. Temkin from El Museo del Barrio, will showcase Latin American talents like Adriana Bustos (Galeria Nora Fisch). Additional areas include Spotlight, Focus, and Frame. Seven Italian galleries will participate, including Alfonso Artiaco and Cardi. Curator Loring Randolph noted the fair's emphasis on women artists.
