Frieze New York 2016 Kicks Off with Expanded Sections and Special Projects

Frieze New York is set to celebrate its fifth edition from May 5 to 8 at Randall's Island Park in Manhattan, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Frieze magazine. The event, overseen by Victoria Siddall along with Abby Bangser and Joanna Stella-Sawicka, will showcase over 200 galleries from 31 nations. Highlights include the main section with artists such as Tracey Emin and Rachel Whiteread, Spotlight curated by Clara M Kim, Focus curated by Fabian Schöneich and Jacob Proctor, and Frame for emerging galleries. Notable Italian participants are Lorcan O'Neill and Massimo De Carlo. Cecilia Alemani will curate Frieze Projects and Frieze Sounds, while Frieze Talks will cover diverse topics. Satellite fairs like NADA New York and Art New York will also occur, alongside exhibitions featuring artists like Enrico Castellani and Cao Fei.
