Frieze London 2024: A Resurgent Fair with Standouts from Gagosian to Vadehra

festival-fair · 2026-04-26

The 2024 Frieze London, taking place in October at Regent's Park, has been lauded as the most stunning edition in recent years, recovering from a downturn caused by challenges in the gallery market and competition from Art Basel Paris. Director Eva Langret unveiled a fresh layout that integrates both large and small galleries. Among the standout exhibits are the Thomas Dane Gallery, featuring works by Arturo Herrera, Philip King, Lynda Benglis, Paul Pfeiffer, and Salman Toor; Mor Charpentier, showcasing Kader Attia, Teresa Margolles, and Théo Mercier; and Vadehra Art Gallery, which displays pieces by Shilpa Gupta, Nalini Malani, and Balkrishna Doshi. Additional highlights include Jenkin Van Zyl's video, Danielle Dean's watercolors, and monumental sculptures by Carol Bove at Gagosian.
