Frieze Art Fair debuts in Los Angeles with 70 galleries at Paramount Studios

Frieze Art Fair launches its first Los Angeles edition from February 15-17 at Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood, featuring 70 galleries. This marks the fair's expansion beyond its established London and New York iterations, aiming to solidify Los Angeles' position in the international art fair circuit. Despite being the second-largest U.S. city and a major cultural hub, Los Angeles had not previously hosted a fair of this scale. The selection includes heavyweight galleries like David Zwirner, Gagosian, and White Cube, alongside Brazilian galleries Mendes Wood and Vermelho. The event includes an extensive program of artist talks, debates, and performances. Organizers strategically scheduled it between the Grammy Awards on February 10 and the Oscars on February 24 to attract audiences and increase visibility.
