In its 15th edition at The Shed, Frieze New York drew an impressive crowd of 25,000 attendees from 75 nations. The event introduced the Sherman Family Foundation Acquisition Fund, which enabled the Brooklyn Museum and Baltimore Museum of Art to purchase artworks by Bettina, Reika Takebayashi, Seba Calfuqueo, and Joanne Burke, each receiving $5,000. Significant sales featured El Anatsui for $2.2 million, Georg Baselitz for €1.4 million, and a James Turrell light piece priced around $1 million. Meanwhile, TEFAF New York marked its tenth anniversary at the Park Avenue Armoury, showcasing nearly 90 exhibitors and generating $477,000 for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Additional events included Independent, NADA New York, and 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair.
