Friends of David Association Launched for Florence's Galleria dell'Accademia

Cecilie Hollberg, director of the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence since 2015, has founded Friends of David, an association to support the museum. The initiative aims to protect and enhance the institution, which is dominated by Michelangelo's David. The association will be officially presented on March 6, 2017, Michelangelo's 542nd birthday, with an evening gathering and guided tours of the Giovanni dal Ponte exhibition.
