Friedkin Uncut Documentary Premieres at Venice Film Festival

Francesco Zippel's documentary 'Friedkin Uncut' premiered at the 75th Venice International Film Festival in the Venezia Classici section. The film features an extensive interview with director William Friedkin, conducted over three to four days, alongside commentary from filmmakers including Dario Argento, Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Damien Chazelle, Francis Ford Coppola, and actor Matthew McConaughey. Friedkin discusses his career, from 'The Exorcist' to 'Killer Joe' and 'The Devil and Father Amorth,' and shares his admiration for directors Kathryn Bigelow and Damien Chazelle, as well as Buster Keaton. The documentary also covers Friedkin's critiques of the film industry and his reflections on figures like Jesus and Hitler. 'Friedkin Uncut' will be released in Italian cinemas on November 5, 6, and 7, distributed by Feltrinelli Real Cinema in collaboration with Wanted, and later broadcast on Sky Arte.
