In Verona, the immersive exhibition 'Frida Kahlo. A Revolutionary Life' runs at Teatro Ristori until October 11, 2026. Created by Massimiliano Siccardi, Luca Longobardi, and Vittorio Guidotti, the 13-stage symbolic journey uses contemporary techniques including AI. The artist's granddaughters, Mara Romeo Kahlo and Mara de Anda, collaborated on the project and gave an interview emphasizing the importance of preserving Kahlo's humanity beyond her iconic image. They highlight her intelligence, political engagement, humor, and resilience, and note that the dreamlike narrative aligns with Kahlo's own symbolic approach. The family approved the project due to Siccardi's respectful research into Kahlo's intimate life. They hope visitors understand that family was central to Kahlo, especially her sister Cristina and niece Isolda, whom she treated as a daughter.
