Fresh Paint Fair 2012 Showcases Emerging Israeli Artists in Unconventional Tel Aviv School Venue

From May 15 to 19, 2012, the Fresh Paint Contemporary Art Fair was held in a nearly finished high school located in North Tel Aviv, Israel. This fifth iteration, established by Sharon Tillinger and Yifat Gurion in 2008, included the Greenhouse section, which showcased 46 artists chosen from more than 1,000 applicants. Among the significant transactions were Igor Skaletsky's artworks and Nevet Yitzhak's video piece "Alashan Malish Gheirak." The Secret Postcard initiative featured works by hundreds of artists, selling for 180 NIS each. The Most Promising Artist award, presented by collector Igal Ahouvi, was claimed by Nivi Alroy in 2010. The Greenhouse has generated sales totaling NIS 9,000,000 and attracted 30,000 art enthusiasts, highlighting Israel's dynamic art landscape.
