French Private Art Schools Face Financial Crisis as Multiple Institutions Enter Judicial Restructuring

In early 2026, several private art and design institutions in France began judicial restructuring, signaling a financial downturn. The Dijon Commercial Court placed the Applied Arts Academy (AAA) under restructuring on March 9, 2026, and it announced its permanent closure on April 3, 2026.
