Frankenstein Junior returns to Italian cinemas for Halloween 2025
Nexo Studios will re-release Mel Brooks's 1974 comedy classic 'Frankenstein Junior' (Young Frankenstein) in Italian cinemas on October 30-31, 2025, in a 4K restoration. The screening event, dubbed 'Frankenstein Junior Halloween Party,' encourages attendees to dress in gothic-elegant attire. Last year's re-release celebrated the film's 50th anniversary. The black-and-white parody, co-written by Brooks and Gene Wilder, stars Wilder as Dr. Frederick von Frankenstein, with Marty Feldman as Igor, Peter Boyle as the Creature, Teri Garr as Inga, and Cloris Leachman as Frau Blücher. Inspired by Mary Shelley's novel and James Whale's 1931 film, the movie remains a landmark of comedic parody. Brooks recently announced a sequel to his 'Spaceballs.'
