Frank Stella Receives Lifetime Achievement Award from International Sculpture Center

On Tuesday night, the International Sculpture Center will present Frank Stella with a lifetime achievement award during a formal gala at the Tribeca Rooftop in New York. Esteemed speakers at the event will include master printer Ken Tyler, who has worked alongside Stella for more than four decades, and Whitney Museum director Adam Weinberg. Established in 1960 in Washington DC, the ISC is now based at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey, where it publishes Sculpture magazine and organizes conventions, workshops, residencies, and scholarships. Previous awardees encompass renowned sculptors such as Louise Bourgeois, Sir Anthony Caro, and Christo and Jeanne-Claude, highlighting Stella's significant impact on the art world, particularly in merging painting and sculpture.
