Frank Lloyd Wright's Winn House Listed for $1.85M in Michigan

market-auction · 2026-04-26

The Robert D. & Winifred L. Winn House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1950, is now on the market in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for $1.85 million. This is the only home in Wright's Parkwyn Village neighborhood—added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2022—situated on the shores of Little Asylum Lake. The 2,470-square-foot residence features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, earth-toned interiors, a fireplace, a large patio, and a distinctive curved main facade. Unlike typical Usonian houses, the Winn House is two stories with concrete and wood detailing. Current sellers Fred Taber and Chuck Jacqua of Jacqua Realtors purchased the property in 2012 for $200,000 and invested $800,000 in renovations, including new concrete floors, a patio skylight, interior plywood, restored living room furniture, and electrical/plumbing maintenance. The house was the last designed and built in the neighborhood by Wright.
