François Morellet centenary project launches with dual exhibition in Milan
A arte Invernizzi in Milan has launched 'François Morellet | Gianni Colombo', under the curation of Luca Massimo Barbero, as part of the national initiative '∞François Morellet∞ Centenario in Italia 1926 - 2026'. This year-long project, organized with the Estate Morellet, celebrates the centenary of the French artist's birth. Morellet made his Italian debut in 1960 at Galleria Azimut in Milan, thanks to Piero Manzoni's invitation. His final curated exhibition took place at A arte Invernizzi in 2016, shortly after his passing. The current exhibition examines the connection between Morellet (Cholet, 1926-2016) and Gianni Colombo (Milan, 1937 - Melzo, 1993), both prominent figures in the global art scene. Additional exhibitions and events are scheduled throughout Italy in 2026.
