Franco Losvizzero's 'In Vitro' at Canova22 in Rome
Franco Losvizzero's solo exhibition 'In Vitro' opened at Canova22 in Rome, part of the #alchemy cycle curated by Lori Adragna. The show features 21 blown-glass works made in Murano, including an installation originally created for Achille Bonito Oliva's Expo 2015 project on the 'albero della cuccagna', never before exhibited in Rome. All other works are also Roman debuts, previously shown in Venice, Miami, Milan, and New York. Losvizzero uses cold-chroming technique to create 'deforming mirrors like liquid mercury'. The exhibition runs until November 11, 2016, and participates in Rome Art Week with a special opening. On October 28 at 7 PM, a live-painting performance 'IN VIVO' will take place, where Losvizzero paints the reflected body of the glass head 'B.Bollo'. A photo gallery by Giorgio Benni accompanies the show.
