Franciacorta Vineyards Host Young Artists' Works in Ca' del Bosco's Arte in Vigna

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Ca' del Bosco, a renowned Italian winery founded in the mid-1960s in the Franciacorta hills between Brescia and Lake Iseo, has launched a new art project called Arte in Vigna. The project, created in collaboration with the Accademia di Belle Arti SantaGiulia of Brescia, features 23 corten steel totems designed by local architect Gabriele Falconi, placed among the vineyards of Erbusco. Each triangular totem has two sides representing the vineyard and a QR code for further information, while the third side displays permanent artworks by 40 students from the academy. The students also created a bilingual website (Italian and English) documenting the project. The winery has a history of art patronage dating back to the 1980s, with a sculpture park featuring works by Igor Mitoraj, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Stefano Bombardieri, and Mimmo Paladino. Benedetta Albini, director of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brescia, expressed pride in the project, noting it gave students experience with a major client. Maurizio Zanella, President of Ca' del Bosco and son of founder Annamaria Clementi Zanella, stated the project aims to combine art with the winery's commitment to certified organic agriculture, giving young artists the freedom to interpret nature and territory.
