Francesco Jodice's First International Retrospective at Fotomuseum Winterthur

Francesco Jodice, born in Naples in 1967, is a photographer and filmmaker whose first international retrospective, titled 'Panorama', has opened at the Fotomuseum Winterthur in Switzerland. The exhibition presents six projects from his body of work, including 'What We Want', a photographic atlas begun in 1996 that documents the territorial evolution of 150 metropolises and peripheral locations. Another project, 'Solid Sea', was created in collaboration with the Multiplicity collective and first presented at documenta 11 in 2002. The show runs until May 7, 2017, at the museum located at Grüzenstrasse 44 + 45 in Winterthur, near Zurich. Jodice's work explores intersections of stories, places, and historical eras, posing sociological questions about the urbanized world.
