Francesco Comello Wins World Report Award at Festival della Fotografia Etica
The sixth edition of the World Report Award. Documenting Humanity has announced its winners, with the awards ceremony set to take place during the seventh edition of the Festival della Fotografia Etica in Lodi, Italy, across four weekends from October 8 to 30, 2016. The contest received over 1,000 submissions from more than 700 photographers representing 58 nations. The Master Award was won by French photographer William Daniels for his work "C.A.R.," a reportage on the Central African Republic. Italian photographer Francesco Comello received the Spot Light Award for "Isle of Salvation," a black-and-white series documenting a Russian community. The Short Story Award went to Iranian photographer Sadegh Souri for "Waiting Girls," which explores female prison segregation in Iran. The European Photographers Award. Spain 2016 was awarded to Javier Arcenillas for "Latidoamerica," a firsthand account of Honduran society.
