cultural-heritage · 2026-04-27

France has initiated Mondes nouveaux, a public commissioning initiative valued at €30 million aimed at fostering emerging artists and rejuvenating the cultural landscape after the pandemic. The open call runs from June 28 to August 28, 2021, and is aimed at French artists or collectives across diverse creative fields, with a focus on recent graduates impacted by the crisis. Chosen participants will propose projects and can receive grants of up to €10,000 to collaborate with the Centre des Monuments nationaux (CMN) or the Conservatoire du Littoral (CdL), emphasizing heritage sites. A jury featuring prominent individuals such as Bernard Blistène and Noé Soulier will evaluate the proposals. Mondes nouveaux is part of a broader €100 billion national recovery effort, which allocates €2 billion specifically for culture.
