FPT Industrial Awards Nohemí Pérez at Artissima for Sustainable Art Prize

award · 2026-04-27

The third edition of the Premio FPT for Sustainable Art, promoted by FPT Industrial (a global Powertrain brand of Iveco Group), awarded Colombian artist Nohemí Pérez during Artissima fair. Pérez, represented by galleria mor charpentier, won for her work "Apuntes para quemas," which explores tensions in Catatumbo (Venezuela-Colombia border), endangered species, and destruction from extractive activities and social conflicts. The jury—composed of Hélène Guenin (director of MAMAC, Nice), Markus Reymann (co-founder and director of TBA21 Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, Vienna), and Gian Maria Tosatti (artist of the Italian Pavilion at the 2022 Venice Biennale)—praised her use of coal with "drammatica grazia." The prize focuses on carbon neutrality, aligning with FPT Industrial's goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. In October, the company inaugurated its first carbon-neutral ePowertrain plant in Turin, producing electric axles, central drives, and battery packs for commercial vehicles. Carlo Moroni, Head of Communication at FPT Industrial, stated that art amplifies their sustainability responsibility through different languages.
