Four Seasons Hotel DIFC Taps Dubai's Art Scene with Anthony James Sculptures

The Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre has partnered with Opera Gallery Dubai to install two works by Anthony James at its entrance: 'Ferran! Pé', an aluminum sculpture inspired by a 1967 Italian car, and 'Icosahedron 80" Solar White', a stainless steel, glass and LED light piece based on Plato's geometric experiment. The hotel, located in the DIFC district, is surrounded by galleries such as Tabari Artspace (also in London's Cromwell Place), which recently exhibited Alymamah Rashed and Khaldoun Hijazin; The Empty Quarter, showcasing photography by Steve McCurry, Bruno Barbey and Marc Riboud; the Fajam Foundation, a non-profit offering abstract art and installations by Henri Matisse, Gerhard Richter, Farhad Moshiri and Ahmed Moustafa; and Sconcl Gallery, with works from the 17th century onward by Picasso, Andy Warhol, UMM and Mr Brainwash. The DIFC area activated earlier this year with Art Dubai and Expo 2020, drawing international visitors. Hotel manager Renan Astolpho described the neighborhood as Dubai's most sensorial. The hotel offers the 'Feel the Beat' package with credits for Mina Brasserle (headed by Michelin-starred chef Michael Mina), the spa, and glass-walled pool, plus the rooftop lounge Luna Dubai with Aperitivo and galaxy-inspired drinks.
