Four Roses Releases Three New Single-Barrel Bourbon Recipes
Four Roses Distillery, which was recently purchased by E.J. Gallo from Kirin, has unveiled its second annual release of three new single-barrel bourbon recipes: OESQ, OESF, and OBSK. Each bourbon is aged between seven and nine years and bottled at 100 proof. The OESQ presents floral and vanilla notes, while OESF offers hints of light mint and soft grain. OBSK is characterized by rye spice and caramel. This annual rotation of recipes enhances the single-barrel collection that began in 2004 under master distiller Jim Rutledge. Four Roses utilizes ten recipes derived from two mashbills and five yeast strains. In 2024, two new mashbills were introduced, increasing the total recipes to 20. The new releases will be available for $50 each in May.
