Four New York Gallery Shows Feature British and American Artists in December 2003

Four distinct exhibitions opened in New York galleries in December 2003. 'Urban Baroque' at Plane Space, curated by Lisa Ivorian Gray, featured works by Ian Dawson, Anya Gallaccio, Steve McQueen, and Drew Lowenstein. Gallaccio presented decaying floral arrangements under glass, while McQueen showed C-prints of rotting rags.
