Four New Nations Debut at Venice Architecture Biennale 2025

The 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, named 'Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.', has commenced under the direction of curator Carlo Ratti, emphasizing the interplay between natural, artificial, and collective intelligence. This year introduces four new national participants: Azerbaijan, Oman, Qatar, and Togo. Azerbaijan presents 'Equilibrium. Patterns of Azerbaijan', curated by Nigar Gardashkhanova, highlighting Baku's evolution from 'Black City' to 'White City'. Qatar's pavilion, 'Beyti Beytak. My Home is Your Home', features a Community Centre designed by Yasmeen Lari, curated by Aurélien Lemonier and Sean Anderson. Togo's 'Considering Togo’s Architectural Heritage', led by Studio NEiDA, examines architectural heritage, while Oman's 'Traces', curated by Majeda Alhinai, embodies Vision 2040, merging tradition with innovation.
