Four Must-See Initiatives at Milan Design Week 2019
Milan Design Week 2019 highlights four remarkable showcases. At h+ on via Varese 12, the duo Draga & Aurel, established in 2007 by Serbian designer Draga Obradovic and German Aurel Basedow, presents their exhibit Transparency Matters, which merges elements of painting, cinema, fashion, and music, including a Jud wall light that nods to Donald Judd's Minimalism. The Haas Brothers make their debut with L'Objet at Dilmos on piazza San Marco 1, offering tableware inspired by Ralph Bakshi, crafted from handmade porcelain adorned with gold and platinum. Meanwhile, bastianello/costa/marchetti/fabro showcases Riflesso Botanico at Palazzo Belgioioso, combining Elena Carozzi's wallpapers with Angela Ardisson's lamps. Designer Vito Nesta unveils his first solo exhibition, Musica da viaggio, at the Grand Hotel et de Milan, featuring installations inspired by musical compositions.
