Four Artists Shortlisted for 2022 Prix Marcel Duchamp

Claude Bonnin, the president of ADIAF, revealed the four contenders for the 2022 Prix Marcel Duchamp: Giulia Andreani, Iván Argote, Philippe Decrauzat, and Mimosa Echard. This prestigious award, recognized as France's top contemporary art honor, is presented annually to an artist residing in or originating from France, with a monetary prize of €35,000. The finalists' new creations will be displayed in a group exhibition at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, commencing on 4 October 2022. An international jury will announce the winner on 17 October during FIAC. The shortlist showcases a variety of multidisciplinary and conceptual practices, prominently featuring painting. Andreani, a figurative painter from Italy living in Paris, draws inspiration from archival research.
