Four Artists Named Finalists for 2017 Hugo Boss Asia Art Award
Four emerging artists from Greater China and Southeast Asia have been selected as finalists for the 2017 Hugo Boss Asia Art Award: Li Ming, Yu Ji, Robert Zhao Renhui, and Tao Hui. The award, a biannual initiative, recognizes contemporary artists in these regions. A group exhibition featuring the finalists will be held at Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai from 27 October 2017 to 7 January 2018. The winner, to be announced in November, will receive RMB 300,000, approximately £34,000. The jury for this edition included Ute Meta Bauer, Yuko Hasegawa, Venus Lau, Adele Tan, and Zhang Peili. The award is organized by Rockbund Art Museum and Hugo Boss.
