Fotonica Festival Goes Online 24/7 with Virtual Piazza dei Mirti

The Fotonica festival, dedicated to artistic uses of light, is held entirely online for ten consecutive days. The platform is accessible 24 hours a day via Twitch or a Virtual Room created in collaboration with Arte19VVR. Audiences can watch live performances streamed on VJ Television's channel or enter a 3D virtual environment modeled after Piazza dei Mirti, a historic meeting point in Rome's Centocelle district. Throughout the festival, visitors can explore the AV Synchronator HD installation curated by Bas Van Kolwijk, a videomapping show by Dark Light Studio, a net art exhibition by Shockart.net, and the AV Digital Archive by VJTelevision, which claims to be the largest international archive dedicated to Audio Visual Performing Arts. The program also includes talks, lectures, and workshops on audio-video and digital art. The festival is free and open to all.
