FOTOGRAFIA Festival 2016 Opens in Rome with International Photography
The 15th edition of FOTOGRAFIA – Festival Internazionale di Roma commenced in Rome and will continue until January 8, 2017, at the MACRO – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Roma. Under the direction of Marco Delogu, this year's theme is Roma, Il mondo, showcasing a central exhibition featuring pieces by artists such as Josef Koudelka, Olivo Barbieri, and Martin Parr. The Rome Commission, the longest-running curatorial initiative centered on a single city, will be previewed at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in London. Additional displays include works by Alfred Seiland and Martin Bogren, alongside a tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini with photographs from William Klein and others. Awards will be presented, including the Open Call for Artists in partnership with the British Council and Accademia Tedesca Roma.
